Celebrities are treated equally in the eyes of law. They cannot exempt themselves from penalties regardless of their status in the society. When they are arrested, they undergo the normal procedures similar to that of an ordinary accused. What makes them different is that we got used to seeing them in their most elegant looks. But when Police lenses come in, they tell a different story.

Featured in this compilation are details of some famous celebrity arrests with the corresponding mug shots which caught public attention. The photos reveal their emotions during the time of their arrests regardless if they were ready to take a pose or not.

Michael Jackson

This mug shot of Michael Jackson isn’t really that nice to look at. Despite its disturbing appearance, this photo received tons of publicity from the media after the King of Pop was arrested for allegedly molesting a child in 1993.

Based on accusations, Michael administered an intoxicating agent to a 14-year old boy for the purpose of sexually arousing himself by touching the boy’s body. However, Michael denied all the allegations and defended that the boy’s greedy parents were manipulating the stories to make profit out of the issue.

Reports revealed that on April 29, 1975, Bill Gates was caught over speeding while driving without license in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Before he became the world’s richest man, it can be concluded through this picture that the computer icon was once a wild, crazy teen.

Nick Nolte

This mug shot of Nick Nolte displays a great contrary to what he portrays as an actor. Proclaimed as the People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” in 1992, no one has ever imagined seeing him in this kind of portrait. His Hawaiian-inspired apparel and his crazy wired hair don’t show any signs that he was once the sexiest man.

Nolte was arrested on September 12, 2002 for driving under the influence and this mug shot was taken on the same day. According to police reports, Nolte’s Mercedes-Benz was seen swerving on a highway near his residence which caught the attention of a California Highway Patrol officer.

Nicolas Cage

On April 16, 2011, this mug shot surprised the entire showbiz world as Nicolas Cage displayed an unusual bearded face. The reason why his eyes are closed remains a question until now.

Nicolas Cage was arrested for domestic violence after he was seen pushing his wife in a cab. The cabbie driver witnessed what happened so he initiated to call the police. Officers tried to calm down Nic and they ordered him to take his wife home. But the actor refused to obey the order and taunted the officers to arrest him.

The officers did arrest the actor and charged him with domestic violence. The actor’s wife, Alice Kim, did not pursue the case and she denied that there was physical contact during the incident.

Gary Coleman

Gary Coleman was probably the angriest midget on the planet when this mug shot was taken. The 4’8” former child star, popular for his role in the “Diff’rent Strokes”, was arrested in January 24 ,2010 under a warrant for domestic abuse against an unidentified victim. Coleman was held at Utah County jail where he posed for a $1,725 bail.

An anonymous 911 emergency call was responded by Aiken County Sheriff’s Office and they took Brown to a local prison. His wife suffered bruises on her hip and scratches on her right arm.

Phil Spector

Phil Spector probably holds the record for the most unforgiving mug shot in Hollywood history. In this photo, his intimidating huge eyes look straight at the camera as if he is going to kill the photographer. This photo stirred a lot of showbiz intrigues in relation to the killing of his wife, Lana Clarkson.

Yasmine Bleeth

This mug shot displays the “scary” face of Yasmine Bleeth. The hot Baywatch actress is seen here with baggy eyes, bloated face and an uncombed hair as if she just came from bed early in the morning. She looks ten years older than her real age, far from her well-known Baywatch image.

Bleeth was arrested for ramming a highway median in Interstate 94 on September 12, 2001. Luckily, there were no other vehicles involved in the crash. The same night, Bleeth was taken by police for interrogation and they found multiple syringe marks on her purse.
