Vladimir Lenin: The Architect of Revolution

The founder of the Soviet Union spent his early years as a political prisoner and exile for his seditious activities against the Tsar.

  • The Arrest (1895): Arrested in St. Petersburg for plotting against the government as part of the ‘Union of Struggle for the Emancipation of the Working Class’.
  • Solitary Confinement: He spent 14 months in solitary confinement, where he famously wrote revolutionary codes in milk between the lines of books.
  • Siberia: He was subsequently exiled to eastern Siberia for three years, where he married Nadezhda Krupskaya.
