Elvis Presley: The King of Rock and Roll

While famous for collecting police badges, the King wasn’t always on the right side of the law in his early years.

  • Speeding: Elvis was notoriously ticketed multiple times for speeding in his pink Cadillac as he raced between gigs in the South.

  • Assault Charge (1956): He was hauled into a Memphis court after a fistfight with two gas station attendants. The judge famously cleared him, ruling it was self-defense after he was besieged by fans and the attendants got aggressive.
