Malcolm X: The Radical Voice
Before becoming a civil rights icon, Malcolm Little’s path to leadership began in a prison cell.
- Burglary (1946): Before his conversion, he was arrested in Boston for larceny and breaking and entering affluent homes.
- Prison Alias: Sentenced to 10 years, he earned the nickname ‘Satan’ from fellow inmates due to his anti-religious rantings.
- Transformation: It was during this prison stint that he joined the Nation of Islam and adopted the name Malcolm X.
